Why Advancing into Laser is a Good Choice! Alexandra’s Story....

There is no doubt laser treatments are becoming increasingly popular within the beauty & aesthetics industry, rightly so!

Each year an increasing number of beauty and medical professionals are taking the leap into laser hair removal, tattoo removal, and laser rejuvenation.

Alongside this, there are a lot of other professionals who are choosing a complete career change and choosing laser treatments as their methods.

As a training provider ensuring they train to the high standard, with good practice and all the tools for their success is imperative to me.

Being from the beauty industry background myself racking up over 20yrs experience. I took the plunge and went into laser myself quite a few years ago.

Quite a few of the reasons above were motivating factors for me. As well as just wanting to progress my knowledge, skill set and of course, my income. I found after so long working within my trade I needed a revamp, a new skill to get stuck into which is why I chose this.

Within my clinic still to this day laser is increasingly popular. Having the clientele I have has supported the growth, also adding a substantial number of new clients who also utilise the other treatments I offer within my business.

However, it hasn’t always been plain sailing. When looking for training, equipment and trying to confidently choose the right provider, this became a challenge. Being experienced within the industry and a fellow trainer myself, if I found this hard then it stands to reason a lot of other professionals will.

Sadly, the first machine I invested in wasn’t a good specification, although I was sold as it being a great choice, it was not. This led me to lose faith in the laser industry, with very little knowledge on where to go for support and guidance. So, I got to work educating myself more, asking he right questions and took my time to source machines that would work well for me and deliver what I needed.

It was around this time that I noticed a huge gap in the market. It seemed the costs of products were so varied, so which do you go with? Naturally for someone starting out, do they spend thousands and thousands on a machine with no guarantee that its going to work?

Within clinic now, I currently use the Athena model and have been getting great results. Its important to me as a training provider and professional to be able to develop my skillset and learn how to tailor laser treatments, I find this is so important the lower the specification. I am seeing results in just 2/3 treatments from our lowest specification range making this a great choice for the newbie with a limited budget.
